Though I may be a part-time vegan in my diet, I like to think that I am vegan in my face products and makeup etc This is my current make-up routine to create a pink smoky eye and I think that my products are vegan and cruelty-free.  If they are not then I will provide a vegan alternative.

For foundation, I use Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25hr Breathable Foundation. Sadly it is not vegan and Rimmel does not claim to be vegan.  I headed online to find a vegan alternative and I found a brand called Too Faced and they have a vegan foundation called Born This Way.

To hide my tired bags under my eyes, again I use Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer and it is not vegan and Rimmel does not claim to be vegan.  So the vegan alternative could be bareMinerals Complete Coverage Serum Concealer to brighten your eyes.

I also use Rimmel Match Perfection Silky Loose Face Powder, which again is not vegan so I need to find a vegan alternative Lily Lolo Finishing Powder – Flawless Matte from Holland and Barret that should do the same thing.

Though Rimmel do not claim to be vegan they do state that they do not test on animals, as stated on their website At Coty, we do not test our products on animals and are committed to ending animal testing across our industry. All our products are safe and have been developed, manufactured and packaged in compliance with the laws, regulations and guidelines that are applicable in each country in which they are sold.

Coty’s human safety experts review our ingredients, as well as the finished products, by applying the best science, based on the use of recognized alternatives to animal testing, existing safety data and, increasingly, the sharing of such data with other parties and industries. Some governments or agencies stipulate the testing of finished products on animals in accordance with local legal and regulatory requirements. An example is China, where we continue to be involved in the dialogue with the Chinese authorities, including through our active membership of industry groups, to find alternatives to their use of animal testing.

For contour, bronzer and blush, highlight  I use Revolution. According to Revolution, 76% of their products are vegan. As they say on the website Our products are always PETA-certified cruelty-free, never tested on animals and are 76% vegan.   You can go on to their website to see what products are vegan.  I also like a pink smoky eye from Revolution from a palette called Forever Flawless and I am happy to see that that product as well as my highlight and bronzer, blush set is vegan.

I love my mascara and my favourite one is Rituals Miracle 3 in 1 Mascara and it is really light and not clumpy on my lashes. I have loads of Rituals products and I assumed that they were vegan but never actually looked into it till now, Rituals is cruelty-free not 100% Vegan. They test on volunteer humans and stands against animal testing. Apart from my mascara having man-made beeswax in, it is vegan.

To finish off my look, I like to have a nude lip with a hint of pink. I tend to use Charlotte Tilbury Iconic Nude Lip Cheat Pencil which I know is Vegan at is on her Vegan Section of her website along with another Vegan Lipstick Sexy Sienna.

I have surprised myself, I thought that most of my products were not vegan but from looking back most of them are either vegan and or cruelty-free. Which is great for the brands and for someone like me who is trying to live a vegan lifestyle.
