Being a part-time vegan during this pandemic is a challenge, especially when it comes to skincare. Because I can’t go out at the moment I can’t always buy my regular products, instead, I am having to find alternatives.

So here is my current vegan skincare routine

Cleansers

When I cleanse I use 2 different products from Lush, lucky we are still able to purchase Lush products from their website so I don’t have to change that. Twice a week exfoliate with Lush Herbalism, which is a gentle scrub that helps just to give your face a deep cleanse. And when I just want a soft cleanse to wash my face I use  Lush 9 to 5 to wash my face and it leaves my skin soft.

Toner

My current favourite is Lush Tea Tree Toner, I used to use an acidic toner but I realised that it wasn’t vegan and it burnt my face. So I wanted something gentle and cruelty free so the Tea Tree Toner works wonders for me as it helps balance out my oily skin. I have also heard that you can make your own rose water that can help reduce redness in the skin, I can’t wait to try that out.

Moisturiser

I have combination skin so it is dry and oily, I used to use a drugstore moisturiser but I can’t get that due to the pandemic. So I have found two Vegan alternatives, one being Light Touch from Lush, it is rich in antioxidants to protect your skin from environmental damage. I like how it gives me a skin a glow, like a natural highlight.  I have also found a new product from Holland and Barret called Sukin Signature Facial Moisturiser, this is perfect for all skin types. With rosehip, sesame and jojoba oil it feels very luxurious on my face.

Though these times are challenging I am enjoying finding new products that work for my skin and it is even better that they are vegan.
